80K Cavitation Machine (Single Body Handpiece)

The short answer

  • P7 mode A operates for 3 seconds and pauses for 3 seconds. Mode B operates for 0.5 seconds and pauses for 0.5 seconds. Both are intermittent modes. A is not a continuous mode simply because its operating period is longer.
  • Match the documented functions and areas before comparing extras.
  • Neither a frequency label nor a function count proves a clinical outcome.

Both modes include pauses

P7 mode A operates for 3 seconds and pauses for 3 seconds. Mode B operates for 0.5 seconds and pauses for 0.5 seconds. Both are intermittent modes. A is not a continuous mode simply because its operating period is longer.

This is the useful difference to keep in mind when reading the panel: the modes describe a repeating operation/pause pattern. They do not identify two different handpieces or two different technologies.

Conductive medium requirements for intermittent cycles

Whether operating in Mode A (3s on / 3s off) or Mode B (0.5s on / 0.5s off), ultrasound acoustic energy cannot transmit through dry air pockets.

A thick, continuous layer of water-based ultrasound conductive gel must be applied to the treatment site to facilitate uninterrupted acoustic propagation and avoid skin irritation.

Read one cycle at a time

One complete A cycle lasts 6 seconds: 3 on, then 3 off. One complete B cycle lasts 1 second: 0.5 on, then 0.5 off. Each pattern spends half its cycle operating and half paused.

That is a timing description, not a dose calculation. Equal on/off proportions do not prove equal intensity, acoustic energy, comfort or treatment effect. Those comparisons would need additional information about actual output and use conditions.

Perpendicular 90-degree application angle

Holding the metal cavitation probe at an angle reduces direct acoustic coupling, reflecting ultrasound waves away from the target subcutaneous tissue.

Maintain a strict 90-degree perpendicular angle to the skin surface throughout the entire treatment cycle for balanced acoustic delivery.

The mode lights and level display have different jobs

The annotated P7 diagram identifies the A/B lights as mode indicators and the digital display as an energy-level display. The plus/minus buttons adjust the level; start/stop and mode selection are separate controls below it.

The supplied image also shows TIME printed below the display, but the functional diagram labels the display and adjustment as energy controls. Do not read the illustrated number as treatment minutes or a measured frequency. A pictured display is not a recommended starting level.

A pulse pattern is not EMS

EMS means electrical muscle stimulation. It is a separate function from ultrasound cavitation. P7 does not document an EMS function, separate electrode pads or RF handpieces. An on/off pattern does not change that attachment map.

Mode letters are also not universal between products. Another console’s A mode may describe RF timing rather than cavitation. Read the active function and exact model before interpreting the letter, even when the panel looks familiar.

Do not choose a mode by a stronger-result claim

The available materials do not establish that A or B gives better clinical results. They also do not establish that either mode is universally comfortable or appropriate for every user. Choose settings only within the procedure for this model and area.

If discomfort or an unexpected reaction occurs, do not treat switching modes as permission to continue. Stop and assess the problem. Pain, burning or persistent hearing changes should not be explained away as signs that the machine is working.

Keep timing questions separate from mode questions

The area-specific P7 procedures list 20 minutes, while a general section states 20–40 minutes. Those statements need clarification before a single overall limit or combined-area plan can be given. The mode cycle cannot resolve that conflict.

Do not add abdomen, thigh and arm times into a long session or copy a routine from a different machine. Get the applicable timing confirmed before use. This article intentionally does not provide frequency-adjustment sequences, water-drop tests or other calibration steps; those require verified service guidance.

Continuous circular movement technique

Never leave the ultrasound handpiece stationary during operation. Guide the head in deliberate, clockwise circular patterns across the abdomen or targeted region.

Consistent gliding distributes acoustic waves evenly across the fatty tissue while preventing localized thermal buildup.

What to record if you ask for help

Give the supplier the exact model and a photo of the control panel. State the selected mode, displayed level, body area and the question or unexpected behavior. Do not rely on “the 80K machine” if more than one revision is sold.

Clear records make it easier to distinguish a control question from a configuration mismatch. A model-specific explanation is more useful than advice copied from a different console with the same letters on its buttons.

Post-treatment probe care and maintenance

Immediately power off the console and disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe residual gel off the metal probe face with a damp cotton cloth or soft towel.

Do not submerge the handpiece in liquids or use harsh chemical abrasives that could degrade the waterproof transducer seals.

Questions readers ask

Direct answers, with model-specific limits.

Is mode A continuous?

No. It alternates 3 seconds of operation and 3 seconds of pause.

Is mode B weaker?

The shorter cycle does not establish that. Timing alone does not supply a measured intensity or clinical-effect comparison.

Does mode B mean EMS?

No. P7 mode B is an ultrasound operation/pause pattern; EMS is not documented for this configuration.

Can I change the frequency myself?

Do not use an unverified calibration sequence. Obtain service instructions for the exact model rather than treating a general shopping guide as a repair procedure.

Does the display show minutes?

The supplied functional diagram identifies an energy-level display. The printed TIME label should not be used to infer a verified timer function or a session duration.

Sources and scope

Model-specific statements use the supplied P7 operating literature, the confirmed supplier specification and the annotated control image reviewed October 12, 2026. P2–P6 configuration statements use their separate operating materials. These sources describe equipment; they do not establish clinical outcomes or a ranking of treatment effectiveness.

The FDA public guide below provides general context on non-invasive body contouring and its risks. It is not an authorization statement for Litevisage or this model. The P7 timing guidance and several translated contraindications still need clarification. This article does not provide calibration instructions or a combined-session treatment protocol.
