Who Should Not Use a Cavitation Machine? Checks Before You Start

Suitability comes before settings

Suitability comes before settings. A lower level, shorter timer or familiar-looking attachment does not remove a restriction involving pregnancy, an implant or a medical condition.

This article helps you prepare the right questions; it does not clear anyone for treatment. Use the full contraindication list for your exact unit, including restrictions that are not reproduced in this summary.

The quick answer

  • Read the exact unit’s restrictions before selecting an attachment.
  • Pacemakers, pregnancy, implants and skin problems need attention before use.
  • A screening conversation does not override a manufacturer’s stated exclusion.

In this guide

An exclusion is different from an unanswered question

A contraindication is a condition or situation in which the procedure should not be used under the stated instructions. An unanswered suitability question means you do not yet have enough information to proceed.

Neither is solved by guessing a lower setting. Bring the exact device and attachment information to the appropriate clinician or manufacturer rather than asking about “beauty machines” in general.

Common mix-ups to avoid

Check these points before turning a comparison or guide into a routine.

Using a lower level as clearance

An output setting does not remove a contraindication.

Treating intact skin as the only check

Skin appearance does not answer implant, pregnancy or other medical restrictions.

Copying another model’s list

The lists differ and may contain unclear translations. Use the exact shipped unit’s complete guidance.

Implants need a specific discussion

The supplied manuals restrict pacemakers and list metal or silicone implants. Do not assume that a small implant, a distant implant or a low-power setting is an exception.

An implanted electronic device is also a different question from a non-electronic implant. Provide its type and location along with the proposed head and treatment area. A general internet answer cannot establish suitability for that combination.

Extra functions add separate checks

An EMS electrode module has placement and cardiac restrictions separate from RF. A laser-pad function has its own eye precautions. More controls do not make a multi-function system suitable for more people by default.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding or an IUD

Pregnancy is excluded in the supplied model material. Do not treat that as a situation where a lower intensity is an acceptable substitute. P1 also explicitly lists breastfeeding; do not automatically attribute that exact wording to every other model.

For an IUD or another implant, identify the type and location and the proposed treatment area. Where the translated material is unclear, obtain clarification before use. Do not turn an ambiguous line into either blanket permission or a claim that the manufacturer explicitly banned every IUD.

What to bring to the discussion

Include medicines or skin conditions relevant to your clinician’s assessment, the exact proposed attachment and any previous symptoms. Keep the manufacturer’s stated exclusions visible; do not replace them with a general checklist.

Questions readers ask

Direct answers for this topic and the named configurations.

Can I use it with a pacemaker?

Do not use it under the supplied pacemaker restrictions. A low setting does not remove that exclusion.

Can I use it during pregnancy?

No under the supplied restrictions. Do not substitute a shorter session for the exclusion.

What about breastfeeding?

Check the exact model’s restriction. P1 expressly lists it; do not invent identical wording for the whole range.

Is an IUD automatically safe?

No automatic clearance is established. Resolve the implant type, location, area and unclear model wording before use.
