What Gel Should You Use With a Cavitation Machine?

The medium belongs to the selected head

Choose the medium for the exact attachment, not simply for the console. A gel specified for cavitation or body RF is not automatically the correct product for vacuum, EMS electrodes or another model.

The distinction matters across this series. P2’s body and facial RF sections specify gel and exclude essential oil. P6’s body RF section specifies gel, while its vacuum section specifies an oil medium. One rule does not cover the whole range.

The quick answer

  • Match the medium to the model, function and area.
  • Aloe, lotion or serum is not automatically a treatment-gel substitute.
  • No universal gel thickness or skincare compatibility claim is established.

Coupling and conductivity, without the jargon

A coupling medium helps an ultrasound head make the required contact with skin. Conductivity describes how readily a material carries electrical current. Those are different properties, so a product described as “conductive” is not automatically suitable for every function.

A label such as water-based is useful information, but it is not confirmation of compatibility with a particular head.

Scope: the supplied model material defines attachment roles and use boundaries. It is not product-specific clinical evidence. Public technology sources do not establish this console’s approval or results.

Common mix-ups to avoid

Check these points before turning a comparison or guide into a routine.

Assuming one medium fits every head

Check ultrasound, RF, vacuum and electrode requirements separately.

Choosing by a skincare benefit

A serum’s cosmetic claim does not confirm compatibility with an energy-based attachment.

Using an invented thickness

There is no verified universal 3 mm gel requirement for these systems.

Why an ordinary skincare product may not be suitable

A lotion or serum was not necessarily formulated or tested for contact with your treatment attachment. Fragrance, texture and ingredients do not establish the coupling or electrical properties required by that function.

Compatibility also includes cleanup. A medium should fit the selected head’s use and care instructions; a general promise that any gel works does not answer either question.

Several energy types, several medium questions

A multi-function console may combine ultrasound, RF, suction, electrodes and light. Sharing a console does not make their contact requirements identical. First identify the head; then identify the confirmed medium.

Read a substitute label carefully

Read a substitute label carefully
Possible substituteWhat its name tells youWhat remains unconfirmed
Aloe gelA skincare ingredient/categoryAttachment compatibility
Serum or lotionA skincare product typeCoupling, electrical properties and cleanup
OilAn oil-based mediumOnly use where that exact function specifies it
Treatment gelA treatment-medium labelCompatibility with your model and head

Read the row for the exact model and function before applying it to a session.

Read the label and ask a specific question

Record the exact gel or medium name and ingredient list, then ask whether it is compatible with your model and chosen attachment. For P2’s RF heads, exclude essential oil as directed. For P6, do not replace its vacuum oil instruction with the body RF gel instruction.

Apply and maintain the contact specified for that function. If residue, drying or poor glide interrupts the directed contact, stop to address the setup. Stop for pain or excessive heat rather than treating more product as permission to continue.

Preparation for your configuration

P1/P3/P4 use ambiguous medium wording that needs model-specific confirmation. P5’s body RF section specifies gel and excludes essential oil. Do not turn a partly translated instruction into a range-wide rule.

Questions readers ask

Direct answers for this topic and the named configurations.

Can I use aloe instead of cavitation gel?

Not without confirmed compatibility. “Aloe gel” does not establish the properties required by your attachment.

Can I use essential oil for RF?

P2’s body and facial RF sections say no. Follow the selected model’s requirements rather than applying that rule to every function in the series.

Can I use the same medium for vacuum and body RF?

Do not assume so. P6 specifies different media for those two functions.

How much gel should I use?

Use the coverage specified for the attachment and maintain the directed contact. A universal thickness is not verified here.
